Travelling with a puppy
Travelling with puppies requires conditioning your puppy in advance to the long trip. The puppy owner should plan ahead and ensure that puppies are welcome at the place where the owner will be visiting. Most of the hotels allow pets but there are some that don not so the owner should make sure that they allow pets. Puppies while travelling may catch viruses and therefore the owner should get the puppy vaccinated before heading out.

He should also keep a health certificate or a proof of vaccination handy incase the authorities enquire. If the puppy is jumpy and panics easily the owner should also keep tranquilizers handy incase its needed. The puppy owner should make the puppy accustomed to travelling by letting it sleep in a carrier. Puppies may adjust well to sudden change in their routine.

Before going out on the trip the owner should pay the local pet shop a visit to see if they have anything that might help the owner with his puppy during a journey. The owner should buy a carrier which is an essential item if he does not already own one. The owner of the puppy should tag it with and id or a contact number so incase the puppy gets lost it may be traced back to the owner. Since puppies done like disturbances in their routine it is advisable to bring supply of its regular meals and water.

Separate meals should be packed for different times. The owner should also bring the litter pan with him on the trip so he can make a setup for the puppy at the new place. If it's a long journey a puppy should be kept in the carrier instead of outside the carrier. They should be kept securely and that must be ensured properly.
